Director, Business Banking

Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Build, develop, and lead Senior Managers and Team Leaders in Business Banking.
• Drive business development with prospective and key clients, representing hirify.global at community and industry events.
• Develop relationships with Business Banking clients, private-sector centres of influence, and local banking partners.
• Lead financial, business, and credit management plans and monitor portfolio performance.
• Coordinate with Risk Management, Compliance, Credit, Retail Operations, Cash Management, Trade Finance, Foreign Exchange, and other specialist teams.
• Improve client experience, grow share of wallet, and ensure compliance with policies and controls.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, people management, business development, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience serving medium-size businesses with credit, cash management, transaction accounts, foreign exchange, and trade finance needs.
• Expertise in credit management, credit analysis, lending risk assessment, and Business Banking credit strategy and adjudication.
• Experience in Business or Commercial Banking in Canada.
• University business degree required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
