Applications Engineer – Atlas Explorer (RISC-V)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain application features that address customer needs and improve workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, cross-functional teams, and customers to define requirements and expand application capabilities.
• Apply testing, debugging, and performance analysis techniques to ensure reliability, performance, and compatibility.
• Support customer onboarding, troubleshooting, adoption, and integration of the tools into software development flows.
• Create product demonstrations and support product marketing in communicating the solution’s value.
• Use the tools as a customer advocate to identify new features and use cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent related field.
• Strong programming fundamentals and hands-on experience supporting customers, contributing to open-source projects, or working with professional development teams.
• Interest in developer tools, IDEs, application frameworks, extensions, plugins, or simulation solutions.
• Curiosity about computer architecture, RISC-V, simulation, performance tuning, and low-level software systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, persistence, and willingness to troubleshoot unfamiliar technical challenges.
• Ability to learn new frameworks, APIs, architectures, and engineering practices quickly, with clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
