Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (Scalability) (m/f/x)

What you will do

• Shape performant, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient ways to run cloud-based microservices.
• Identify scalability requirements related to user growth and increasing data volumes with cross-functional teams.
• Design and roll out Datadog monitoring practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
• Develop internal tooling for monitoring, developer portals, load testing, and service scalability.
• Design infrastructure auto-scaling practices and run chaos engineering experiments to improve resilience.
• Mentor development teams and provide reusable DevOps building blocks for reliability, performance, and scalability.

Requirements

• Multiple years of experience with AWS and infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• Solid experience with monitoring, container orchestration, microservices, distributed systems, and scalable system design.
• Good working knowledge of Python, plus another general-purpose programming language such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript/Node.
• Experience with build automation tools; GitHub Actions and Jenkins are beneficial.
• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Full professional proficiency in English and concise communication in an international English-speaking environment.
