Infrastructure Engineer (SRE)

Location: Hybrid in Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, or the Netherlands

Salary: €90K–€160K per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Operate Langfuse Cloud production environments on AWS ECS Fargate and ClickHouse Cloud, including deployments, autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Own Datadog observability through dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
• Maintain and improve the public self-hosted infrastructure, including Helm charts, Docker Compose, and deployment documentation.
• Automate CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Design infrastructure for high-throughput event processing, long-running agent observability, and real-time evaluation at 10x scale.
• Improve security and compliance across cloud and self-hosted deployments and help users troubleshoot their installations.

Requirements

• Strong infrastructure or SRE engineering experience operating and improving systems at scale.
• Production workload experience on AWS, including ECS/Fargate, networking, IAM, and S3, or comparable hyperscale cloud experience.
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and/or ECS, plus Helm and Docker.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Strong monitoring and observability experience, including building dashboards and alerts that detect operational problems.
• Strong judgment around reliability, automation, and safely shipping infrastructure changes.
• Interest in open-source software and willingness to help users debug self-hosted deployments.
• Ability to thrive in a small, accountable team where output is visible and impactful.
• CS or quantitative degree preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse Cloud or other managed analytical databases.
• Experience operating high-throughput event-processing or observability infrastructure.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tooling, such as Helm charts or Terraform modules.
• Datadog experience.
• Former founder experience.
