DevOps Engineer Expert (Kubernetes)

Location: Naples, Italy, with smart working possibility and a hybrid work model.

Salary: gross annual base salary starting from €36,000, determined according to the applicable Italian metalworking collective labor agreement and objective, gender-neutral criteria.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, scale, monitor, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters in on-premise or cloud environments, taking end-to-end technical ownership.
• Implement cluster components including ingress controllers, storage integrations, and networking plugins.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Automate application deployments, environment provisioning, and repetitive operational tasks with Bash or Python, using Terraform, Helm, and related infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Deploy and manage Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager monitoring stacks, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with development teams and clients on containerization and deployment practices; mentor junior and mid-level team members, define technical standards, and support technical hiring assessments.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience administering Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipeline design.
• Solid understanding of container technologies, including Docker and containerd.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Good scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong Linux systems engineering background.
