DevOps Engineer Expert (Kubernetes)

Location: Naples, Italy, with smart working possibility under a hybrid work model

Salary: Gross annual base salary starting from €36,000, determined according to the applicable collective labor agreement and objective, gender-neutral criteria.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and take end-to-end ownership of on-premises and cloud Kubernetes clusters.
• Manage cluster upgrades, scaling, monitoring, troubleshooting, ingress controllers, storage integrations, and networking plugins.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Automate application deployments, environment provisioning, and operational tasks with Bash or Python.
• Define and manage infrastructure with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows; deploy Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager monitoring stacks.
• Collaborate with development teams and clients, provide technical guidance and mentoring, help define standards, and conduct technical assessments during interviews.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools, pipeline design, container technologies, Docker, and containerd.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Good scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana, plus a strong Linux systems engineering background.
• Ability to work from Naples, Italy, with smart working within the hybrid work model.
