Big Data Architect (AWS, West Palm Beach)

Salary: $84,000–$108,000 annual base salary, plus variable compensation

What you will do

• Design scalable Data & Analytics architectures using Databricks and cloud-native platform technologies.
• Gather requirements with technical and business stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions and implementation roadmaps.
• Define data platform architectures, data models, ingestion strategies, and source-to-target mappings for batch and streaming workloads.
• Guide engineering teams, review solution designs, and promote data engineering best practices.
• Contribute to technology selection, estimation, delivery planning, prototypes, and architecture decisions.
• Create architecture documentation, technical designs, and implementation guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Data & Analytics platforms as a Data Architect.
• Strong expertise with Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark or Spark SQL, and modern data processing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with scalable batch and streaming architectures, data pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java, together with advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with Databricks Workflows, Apache Airflow, or equivalent orchestration tools, plus strong stakeholder communication skills.
