Solution Architect (Azure Databricks)

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Architect end-to-end data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Design scalable data platforms for batch, streaming, and real-time analytics workloads.
• Define data lake, data warehouse, lakehouse, and data mesh architectures.
• Lead solution design discussions, architecture reviews, technical governance, and enterprise standards.
• Establish security, governance, compliance, performance, and cost-optimization practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, and clients while mentoring engineers and supporting proposals and presentations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, or solution architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and 4+ years with Databricks and Spark-based solutions.
• Strong experience designing enterprise-scale platforms and working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Event Hub, Service Bus, Functions, Key Vault, Monitor, and Entra ID.
• Experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, Structured Streaming, Medallion Architecture, Python, PySpark, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure as code.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, plus strong stakeholder-management and client-facing communication skills.
