What you will do

  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate vehicle data into full simulations of customer missions.
  • Develop and use software tooling to optimize launch and orbital trajectories.
  • Lead interdisciplinary design trade analyses for vehicle, mission trajectory, and ConOps decisions.
  • Define and maintain high-level vehicle and trajectory design requirements.
  • Implement, maintain, and improve simulation capabilities and analysis utilities across multiple programming languages.
  • Establish cross-functional collaboration with Vehicle Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience solving complex problems from first principles.
  • Direct experience with rocketry, space systems, or similarly complex hardware systems.
  • Strong proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, Julia, or MATLAB, including complex simulation processes.
  • Ability to deliver projects with end-to-end ownership and substantial independence.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and intense startup environment.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with launch vehicle trajectory design and optimization.
  • Experience leading complex multidisciplinary engineering analysis projects.
  • Previous startup experience.
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and dependency management.
