Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in the Greater Seattle Area, Seattle, Washington

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annually

hirify.global is building space infrastructure based on Low Earth Orbit satellites that collect sunlight, transmit energy through infrared lasers, and enable secure, high-bandwidth optical data and on-orbit computing.

What you will do

• Develop and analyze launch vehicle and spacecraft trajectories, including ascent, orbit insertion, and orbital maneuvers.
• Perform orbital propagation and station-keeping analysis for spacecraft operations.
• Support mission design through launch window analysis, delta-V budgets, and contingency planning.
• Interface with flight software and GNC teams to validate and optimize guidance profiles.
• Contribute to in-house simulation tools and flight dynamics infrastructure.
• Support multidisciplinary vehicle systems investigations and develop flight termination system mission rules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Space Systems, or Software Engineering, or an equivalent Engineering or Applied Physics degree.
• Experience with orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation.
• Mission analysis experience with STK, Astrogator, GMAT, Monte, Copernicus, or equivalent tools.
• Python software development experience.
• Must work on-site in Seattle, Washington.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with launch vehicles, spacecraft, missiles, hypersonics, UAVs, or defense systems.
• Orbit determination experience with ODTK, Orekit, or equivalent tools.
• Team or software project management experience.
