Enterprise Automation Specialist (Ansible/AWX/AAP)

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, engineering, governance, and lifecycle management of Ansible Automation Platform, AWX, and enterprise automation solutions.
• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, compliance, and operational workflows.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code practices, automation standards, Git workflows, code reviews, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automation solutions with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and shell scripting, integrating ServiceNow, monitoring platforms, cloud services, infrastructure tools, and REST APIs.
• Lead platform upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, resiliency, observability, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and operations teams while mentoring engineers and applying AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, automation, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible, AWX, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
• Strong development experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and shell scripting.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale automation initiatives, platform operations, infrastructure modernization, and automation transformation programs.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux, virtualization, networking, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, GitHub, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience with platform security controls, RBAC, secrets management, compliance, audit requirements, resiliency, observability, and disaster recovery.

Nice to have

• Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure, AWS, or GCP experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and DevOps toolchains.
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, enterprise monitoring, and platform operations.
• Certifications including RHCE, RHCA, Red Hat Ansible Automation, Azure, AWS, Terraform, or GitHub credentials.
• Experience in large-scale financial services environments, multi-cloud automation, reusable frameworks, or enterprise automation governance.
