Technical Integration Architect (API/Middleware)

Location: Davidson, North Carolina, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a choice of work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $146,521.66–$204,609.99

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise integration solutions using middleware, APIs, event-driven patterns, batch architecture, and cross-platform connectivity.
• Translate strategic business requirements into scalable, secure, supportable technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Establish reusable integration assets, patterns, and reference architectures across middleware and API platforms.
• Provide architectural oversight from design and implementation through transition to support.
• Mentor developers, conduct architecture governance through the Architecture Review Board, and communicate risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-enabled integration capabilities for measurable business value.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Information Technology experience, including hands-on enterprise integration and solution architecture experience.
• Experience integrating on-premises and SaaS applications, with strong knowledge of API design patterns, REST, event-driven architecture, and API security protocols.
• Experience with Google Apigee, AWS integration services, Oracle Integration, or Oracle Fusion Middleware / SOA Suite.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, architecture frameworks, messaging protocols, and hands-on development practices.
• Experience with code reviews, GitHub branching, merging, pull requests, analytical problem-solving, and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
