Manager, EAML Examinations

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid arrangement with 2–3 days per week on-site

Salary: $104,000–$122,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and location; incentive compensation may also apply.

What you will do

• Plan and conduct AML/ATF and sanctions examinations using a risk-based approach.
• Evaluate the design, adequacy, and operating effectiveness of compliance controls and processes.
• Provide independent assurance regarding regulatory and CIBC policy adherence across business units and functional groups.
• Collaborate with examination team members, lines of business, Advisory partners, Internal Audit, and other governance partners.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, ratings, and recommended remedial actions.

Requirements

• Experience leading examinations, audits, or compliance reviews.
• Proficiency in AML/ATF and sanctions-related legislation and regulations.
• At least three years of experience in the financial, compliance, or audit industry.
• University degree, college diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• Current accreditation and good standing with ACAMS, ACFCS, CPA, or CIA.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, written, verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
