TL;DR

What you will do

  • Program turning centers in Mastercam to machine E-2 engine parts and production tooling.
  • Design, develop, manufacture, inspect, maintain, and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, molds, and related equipment.
  • Select suitable tool-construction materials based on strength, durability, and manufacturing compatibility.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, production managers, and cross-functional manufacturing teams.
  • Document tool designs, modifications, maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements while following safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 6+ years of experience in a related machining role.
  • 3+ years of CAM experience with mill-turn operations, including lathe Y-axis machining.
  • Experience with Mastercam for turning centers.
  • Ability to work onsite in Hawthorne and support overtime or weekends for critical mission milestones.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Fanuc controllers and Doosan, DNM, or Puma turning centers.
  • Experience machining aerospace materials such as Inconel 718, SS304, SS316, and AL7075.
  • Experience fixturing and turning metal additive-manufacturing parts.
  • Strong GD&T skills and experience creating or reviewing drawings.
  • Experience operating lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
