Principal Hardware Engineer

Location: Newtown, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at the TTC facility.

Salary: $155,000–$185,000 annually plus bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced hardware systems, equipment, and components.
• Define technical solutions for complex mixed-signal, electronic, mechanical, optical, and integrated hardware challenges.
• Direct validation testing, evaluate results, and establish qualification criteria and performance standards.
• Develop engineering documentation, specifications, procedures, and manuals across research, design, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, resolve design issues, assess feasibility, and lead engineering teams or project groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 15–20+ years of progressive hardware engineering experience with increasing technical leadership responsibility.
• Expert understanding of electronic components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, optical systems, or DSP technologies.
• Experience leading complex hardware design initiatives from concept through validation and release.
• Strong capabilities in feasibility analysis, material and component evaluation, system modeling, design optimization, and validation planning.
• Ability to resolve high-impact technical issues, mentor engineers, and guide multidisciplinary teams.
