What you will do

  • Own build preparation, print programming strategy, manufacturing planning, and technical execution for assigned powder bed fusion hardware.
  • Provide design feedback on printability, design for additive manufacturing, part consolidation, and manufacturability trade-offs.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, build standards, work instructions, verification plans, and engineering decision records.
  • Lead nonconformance investigations, including data review, root-cause analysis, risk assessment, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Evaluate process changes involving parameters, scan strategies, support design, build layouts, powder state, machine configuration, heat treatment, depowdering, and inspection.
  • Coordinate with process engineering, materials, quality, inspection, design, post-processing, machining, and program teams to protect hardware delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of full-time industry experience in metal additive manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, aerospace hardware, materials engineering, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of LPBF process variables, build preparation, support strategy, inspection, heat treatment, nonconformance processes, and configuration control.
  • Proficiency with metallic LPBF additive manufacturing and design for additive manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with work orders, work instruction creation, and nonconformance resolution.
  • Experience with EOSprint, Magics, 3DXpert, Flow, and CAD tools such as Siemens NX or SolidWorks, with Siemens NX preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience owning additive manufacturing products through the full manufacturing lifecycle, including machining and post-processing.
  • Experience with metal powder handling, tensile testing, metallography, CT or inspection data analysis, or aerospace qualification programs.
  • Experience with process specifications, qualification plans, acceptance criteria, change-control packages, or AS9100-aligned documentation.
  • Experience with Jira, MES/ERP systems, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Minitab, or similar workflow and data-analysis tools.
