Combustion Devices Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Hawthorne, California, United States; onsite position

Salary: $110,000–$155,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Advance the E-2 engine design with the engineering team and Chief Engineer.
• Create CAD models, drawings, schematics, and process documentation for parts and assemblies.
• Support manufacturing through 3D printing, machining, post-processing, inspection, and design-for-manufacturing improvements.
• Support propulsion component assembly, integration, and testing.
• Participate in engine testing and troubleshoot issues with the test team.
• Communicate progress and issues while following workplace safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, development, fabrication, assembly, or testing, including internships.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends during critical mission milestones.
• CAD experience, with NX preferred, plus geometric dimensioning and tolerancing knowledge.
• Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export-control regulations or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Hands-on engineering experience across computer-based design, physical assembly, and shop support.
• Experience with ANSYS and MATLAB.
• Strong written, visual, and presentation communication skills.
• Independent problem-solving and collaborative engineering experience.
