Salary: $136,000–$204,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Lead a team responsible for top-level ownership of Aeon-R rocket engine assemblies and configurations.
  • Own engine layout and packaging across development, qualification, acceptance, first-stage, and upper-stage configurations.
  • Design and analyze integration hardware, including secondary structures, fluid manifolds, tubing, and custom fittings.
  • Release top-level CAD models, track engine mass projections, and manage interface control diagrams.
  • Coordinate with propulsion, vehicle, test stand, and engine integration teams to optimize designs and support production-rate delivery.
  • Establish priorities, provide technical guidance, mentor team members, communicate with leadership, and recruit engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in fluid systems design and/or structural design.
  • Experience applying fluid, thermal, structural, and mechanical design fundamentals.
  • Experience using computer-aided design software.
  • Mentoring experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and ability to deliver on ambitious schedules in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of engine subsystems such as combustion devices, turbomachinery, valves, and integration hardware.
  • Experience managing large CAD models, engineering changes, and configurations.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or ANSYS Workbench.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards, including AS, NAS, and SAE.
