Principal Engineer I - App Release Management (CXD)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States. Candidates must already have the right to work in the United States and must not require hirify.global immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end application releases, including deployment readiness and post-release support.
• Align product, engineering, quality, operations, security, and business teams on schedules, dependencies, priorities, and release objectives.
• Identify and mitigate release risks, track defects, and coordinate issue resolution.
• Support mobile application certification, testing readiness, change management, and App Store and Google Play submissions.
• Develop release readiness assessments, production performance reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Improve release governance, collaboration, operational efficiency, and delivery predictability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience delivering software, managing releases, leading programs, managing projects, or supporting complex technology initiatives.
• Experience with application releases or complex delivery initiatives across mobile, web, cloud, SaaS, enterprise, or other customer-facing platforms.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release management practices.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, or similar planning and collaboration platforms.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, stakeholder communication experience, and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Nice to have

• Experience managing iOS and Android releases for consumer-facing digital products.
• Experience with App Store, Google Play, mobile certification, approval, compliance, or release governance.
• Experience with enterprise, connected vehicle, automotive, or OEM digital platforms.
• Experience with hirify.global Business Practices, JKK, Agile, Scrum, PMP, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to improve delivery outcomes.
