Analyst/Associate, Commodities Trading (Python)

Location: New York, NY, 300 Madison Ave Fl 5; onsite role

Salary: $115,000–$150,000 per year for the New York, NY market, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support trading staff across energy, metals, agriculture, and index commodity products.
• Assist with trading desk operations, risk management, and management of commodity positions.
• Automate end-of-day, end-of-month, and end-of-year processes using Python and VBA.
• Support onboarding of new products through risk assessment and established onboarding processes.
• Develop trading analytics and strategies using programming and statistical analysis.
• Engage with clients, communicate trade ideas and hedging solutions, and support relationship-building and outreach activities.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience and strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of one or more programming languages; high proficiency in Python is preferred.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, curiosity, goal orientation, communication, teamwork, and accountability.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location is required; a valid work or study permit may be required where applicable.
