Staff Engineer, Electrical Integration & Test (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead the design, validation, and deployment of advanced test systems for X-BAT components and subsystems.
• Architect test framework software and interfaces for power electronics, compute systems, and communications systems.
• Build scalable test infrastructure, shared libraries, and automated provisioning and configuration workflows.
• Develop real-time monitoring and data visualization tools, including Grafana-based solutions, for test execution and debugging.
• Drive design reviews, design-for-testability improvements, and requirements coverage across the product lifecycle.
• Partner with HASS, ESS, and HALT testing teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in software design and test engineering, or equivalent advanced-degree experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles applied to test infrastructure.
• Experience with Linux, Bash scripting, networking, and configuring small computer networks.
• Ability to design, implement, and validate multidisciplinary test systems in high-stakes environments.
• Demonstrated ownership, collaboration, and ability to solve complex technical challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience working with circuit boards, motors, sensors, and electronics test equipment drivers.
• Experience with Stell, Jama, DOORS, or other systems requirements frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Altium, KiCad, Eagle, SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other rugged high-reliability industries.
