Salary: $143,000–$203,000 USD per year

Company

hirify.global develops next-generation commercial space stations and spacecraft to support continuous human presence in space, microgravity research, manufacturing, and the emerging space economy.

What you will do

  • Manage and develop a team responsible for spacecraft loads and dynamic environment predictions.
  • Develop dynamic models, load cases, and environmental requirements for transportation, ascent, docking, and on-orbit operations.
  • Build, maintain, and correlate finite element and dynamic prediction models using test data and flight-representative environments.
  • Support vibration, modal, acoustic, and shock testing, qualification, integration, and verification activities.
  • Coordinate with Structures, Propulsion, Thermal, Avionics, GNC, Manufacturing, Test, and Systems Engineering teams.
  • Set team priorities, allocate resources, mentor engineers, identify risks, and improve analysis processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or another safety-critical industry.
  • At least 1 year of technical leadership, project leadership, or engineering management experience.
  • Experience with loads and environments prediction, structural dynamics, vibration, acoustic, shock, or coupled systems analyses.
  • Understanding of structural dynamics, finite element methods, systems integration, and hardware development across the product lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with FEMAP/NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent tools. Access to controlled information requires U.S. person status or eligibility for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading teams or projects involving spacecraft, launch vehicles, or flight-critical systems.
  • Expertise in modal analysis, quasi-static loads, random and sine vibration, shock, acoustic environments, or transient dynamic response.
  • Experience with coupled loads analysis, spacecraft dynamic environments, launch vehicle integration requirements, and aerospace standards.
  • Experience developing and correlating finite element models with test data.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time, non-exempt employment with company equity.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
  • Paid time off, parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401(k) plan.
  • ClassPass credits, personalized mental healthcare, and other discounts.
  • Onsite food perks including snacks, coffee, drinks, dinner, and subsidized lunch.
