Senior Placement Specialist - CL Large/Middle Market (Insurance)

Salary: $105,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead timelines and end-to-end processes for new business and renewal placements for mid-to-large commercial accounts.
• Develop placement strategies using exposure analysis, market intelligence, carrier relationships, large deductibles, and captive structures.
• Analyze alternative risk financing mechanisms, build insurance towers, and develop financial models to optimize coverage and cost efficiency.
• Review coverage offers, policies, contracts, and client exposure or loss data; prepare submissions, quote specifications, and client proposals.
• Engage with carriers, wholesalers, Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, and specialized Risk Resources to negotiate terms and deliver risk transfer solutions.
• Mentor Placement Specialists and Account Teams, lead portfolio reviews, and support process improvement and governance.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant insurance experience, including large commercial account placements.
• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, negotiation, presentation, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Experience with a broker or agent marketing large middle-market accounts to carriers and strong knowledge of insurance markets and applicable coverages.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, and experience preparing proposal presentations.
• Current applicable insurance license required.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, maintain document accuracy, and work on-site in Walnut Creek.

Nice to have

• Experience with Applied Epic.
• College degree.
• Professional designation such as CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, or CPCU.
