Senior Placement Specialist - CL Large/Mid Market (Insurance)

Salary: $105,000–$150,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Lead timelines and end-to-end processes for new business and renewal placements involving complex mid-to-large commercial accounts.
• Develop placement strategies using exposure analysis, market intelligence, carrier relationships, large deductibles, and captive structures.
• Build insurance towers, analyze coverage gaps, and develop financial models to optimize coverage limits and cost efficiency.
• Negotiate coverage terms with carriers and wholesalers and present comprehensive proposals to clients.
• Oversee governance, compliance, policy accuracy, portfolio reviews, and continuous process improvements.
• Mentor Placement Specialists and Account Teams while collaborating with Client Advisors, service teams, carriers, and specialized risk resources.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant insurance experience, with emphasis on large commercial account placements.
• Experience with a broker or agent marketing large middle-market accounts to carriers and strong knowledge of insurance markets and applicable coverages.
• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, negotiation, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, and experience preparing insurance submissions and proposal documents.
• Currently hold an applicable insurance license and maintain continuing-education requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, and collaborate effectively in an on-site team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Applied Epic.
• College degree.
• Professional designation such as CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, or CPCU.
