IT Application Specialist (PowerShell)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; flexible working hours and work-from-home options are available.

Salary: €1,896 gross per month minimum base wage; final compensation is negotiable based on experience and profile.

What you will do

• Maintain the business application lifecycle, including vendor communication, change implementation, and business-requirement alignment.
• Administer Windows Server and SQL database environments through log analysis, service monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration checks.
• Perform deployment activities using Azure Pipelines and develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PowerShell scripts, SQL queries, and automation solutions.
• Provide functional and technical support to internal users and collaborate with global ING support teams.
• Execute ITIL incident, change, and problem management processes, as well as daily banking procedures.
• Implement security measures based on vulnerability-management outcomes and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience managing Windows Server environments.
• At least 1 year of experience with SQL Server management and SQL querying.
• At least 1 year of experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• At least 1 year of experience creating and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Professional experience with incident management and handling, strong problem-solving skills, and ownership of technical issues through resolution.
• Advanced English proficiency at C1 level, along with a technical mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to gather accurate information from end users.

Nice to have

• ITIL certification.
• More than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Awareness of security concepts and vulnerability mitigation.
