Information Assurance Specialist II (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Maintain compliance documentation across NIST 800-171 Rev. 2, NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, CMMC 2.0, and ITAR/EAR.
• Build automated compliance workflows for policy checks, evidence collection, control validation, and audit preparation.
• Integrate EDR, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and asset inventory tools with compliance and ticketing platforms through APIs and scripting.
• Use and evaluate AI and machine-learning tools for security analysis, documentation review, and compliance gap identification.
• Create dashboards and automated reports covering compliance posture across multiple frameworks.
• Support change management, risk assessments, security assessments, compliance monitoring, remediation, and information security training.

Requirements

• U.S. person status or eligibility for deemed export licensing is required because the role provides access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls.
• 2+ years of experience supporting compliance in the Defense Industrial Base or commercial space industry.
• Experience implementing and documenting NIST standards, including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Understanding of AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure systems.
• Experience with continuous control monitoring, remediation, certification or gap assessments, self-assessments, and compliance audits.
• Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, vulnerability scanning, APIs, webhooks, workflow automation, and orchestration tools.

Nice to have

• Active DoD 8140 IAM Level II or IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE or CISSP.
• Experience using AI/LLM tools, automated evidence collection pipelines, or continuous compliance monitoring.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, MCP, SOAR platforms, or large-scale GRC automation.
