What you will do
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions for SDA program infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests, then mitigate identified risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor security systems, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation.
- Integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle with IT and development teams.
- Track emerging threats and recommend improvements to the organizationβs security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Active Secret security clearance required upon hire.
- At least 2 years of experience in system security engineering or a related role.
- 8140 Intermediate or Advanced certification, such as Security+, Cloud+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Knowledge of NIST 800, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements apply.
Nice to have
- Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience with DevSecOps, incident response, digital forensics, scripting, and automation.
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and application security.
- Python or PowerShell scripting experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
