Manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician - Fresh Plant

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; work in a manufacturing plant with rotating schedules, extended hours, and varying hot, cold, or wet environments.

Salary: USD $20.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide quality assurance support for manufacturing initiatives and collaborate with plant personnel to improve product quality.
• Train production team members on safe, quality food manufacturing practices.
• Audit, inspect, and test finished products, work-in-process, raw materials, and process controls against specifications and HACCP plans.
• Perform floor checks and warehouse audits, identify non-conforming products, and communicate findings.
• Conduct root cause analyses and participate in preventive actions, corrective actions, and FMEAs.
• Maintain the laboratory according to published 6S standards and use customer or supplier feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 0+ years of experience; experience or coursework in food science, quality management, or another science is required.
• Related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, basic statistics, quality fundamentals, and root cause analysis.
• Organization, mathematics, critical thinking, communication, presentation, PC, and MS Office skills.
• Ability to learn and apply hirify.global quality and OSHA safety requirements, including behavior-based safety.
• Completion of hirify.global certification as an ASQ Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) is required.
