TL;DR
Manager - Legal (Commercial Contracts and Corporate Advisory): Managing end-to-end contracting, commercial negotiations, regulatory compliance, and corporate transactions with an accent on cross-border agreements, business initiatives, and risk mitigation. Focus on drafting and negotiating complex contracts, supporting M&A and joint ventures, advising on employment matters, and improving contract lifecycle and compliance frameworks.

Location: On-site in Bangalore, Karnataka, India

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, redlining, negotiating, and closing agreements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnership contracts.
  • Provide legal advice on business initiatives, product launches, strategic projects, and regulatory risk mitigation.
  • Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
  • Support M&A, joint ventures, investments, corporate restructurings, and employment-related legal matters.
  • Manage external counsel and improve contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and risk management processes.

Requirements

  • Qualified LLB with 5–7 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in-house legal role.
  • Exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
  • Experience handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
