Director of Regulatory Affairs (Web3)

Location: Remote within the United States, with candidates ideally located in D.C. or New York; EST-based candidates must be willing to travel frequently to those locations.

What you will do

• Develop and implement regulatory strategies across global, regional, and local jurisdictions.
• Monitor cryptocurrency and blockchain regulatory developments and advise senior management on risks and opportunities.
• Build relationships with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, legal, and engineering teams to integrate compliance requirements into products and services.
• Prepare regulatory filings and documentation, and lead audits and regulatory inspections.
• Conduct regulatory risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and educate employees on regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field; a JD, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or related roles in financial services, fintech, or blockchain.
• In-depth knowledge of global regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
• Experience navigating complex regulatory environments and working with regulatory bodies or industry associations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards.
