Senior Engineer, Controls Systems Engineering (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, and motion-control systems for industrial automation.
• Program and troubleshoot Rockwell, Siemens, and other PLC systems, HMIs, industrial networks, sensors, actuators, and instrumentation.
• Lead automation projects from concept through FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production support.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams while mentoring other team members.
• Analyze system performance, implement improvements, and support maintenance teams through technical training.
• Prepare control logic, wiring diagrams, user manuals, and other technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience as a controls engineer in industrial environments.
• Strong experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial networks including EtherNet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus.
• Experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility and availability to provide 24/7 facility support.
• Knowledge of NFPA 79, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEC 61131, and OSHA standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, leadership, project-management, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, motion control, Industry 4.0, machine vision, MES and ERP integration, Safety Instrumented Systems, SAP, Ignition, JMP, SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
• Control Systems PE license or background.
