Automation Engineer III (Relocation Assistance)

Location: Onsite at the Blue Ash facility, USA - OH - Blue Ash. Relocation assistance is offered.

Salary: $80,000–$121,250 per year, depending on location, experience, qualifications, skills, and knowledge.

What you will do

• Deliver technical projects for manufacturing intelligence and automation systems supporting inspection, device assembly, and packaging operations.
• Interface with PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, servers, databases, data historians, visualization systems, and other automation equipment.
• Lead or support the design, optimization, commissioning, validation, and lifecycle management of new and existing equipment.
• Act as an automation subject matter expert for process development and provide technical guidance and training.
• Lead troubleshooting, investigations, studies, audits, and continuous improvement activities with limited supervision.
• Maintain compliant documentation, support regulatory audits, and participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support system.

Requirements

• Significant experience supporting manufacturing operations in a regulated or cGMP environment.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA automation systems, including Rockwell, Inductive Ignition, or Siemens Desigo CC.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience with networking concepts such as VLANs, subnets, and IP protocols.
• Ability to work with stakeholders, vendors, regulatory authorities, and equipment on the plant floor.
• Sponsorship or support for work authorization, including visas, is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Aveva PI or OSI PI data historian and visualization systems.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL database design.
• Knowledge of GAMP 5, ISA standards, and GMP principles, including change control, deviations, CAPA, validation, and qualification.
