Billing Excellence Lead

Location: Atlanta, United States; hybrid with two days in the office each week

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for billing processes, including best-practice adoption and automation opportunities.
• Design and optimize billing workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
• Serve as the billing subject-matter expert on transformation programs and collaborate with the Transformation Office and cross-functional teams.
• Support the implementation of billing technologies and reconciliation between billing systems, payments, and the general ledger.
• Analyze billing data, identify root causes and trends, and report outcomes such as cost savings, cycle-time reduction, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop training, change-management initiatives, strategic plans, and roadmaps for billing excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process improvement or billing excellence, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with billing systems, automation tools, and data analytics platforms such as SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma or a similar process improvement certification.
• Experience in insurance or financial services.
