Director North America Insurance Markets (Insurance)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States; on-site presence required for collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership. Travel to offices, client offices, and events may be required.

Salary: $225,000–$300,000 base compensation per year.

What you will do

• Develop and execute US retail placement and carrier engagement strategies.
• Analyze, structure, negotiate, and track contingent and supplemental compensation plans, including lock-in and stop-loss options.
• Build systems for carrier production reporting, performance analysis, and carrier ranking across underwriting, claims, and servicing.
• Manage and expand the US Markets team while leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing professionals.
• Lead carrier performance reviews and maintain relationships with carrier partners and divisional placement teams.
• Promote hirify.global’s TPA, claims, reinsurance, corporate advisory, legacy, and servicing capabilities to carrier partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field.
• Experience trading in the US retail and/or wholesale insurance market and awareness of the US reinsurance market.
• Experience leading and growing a team.
• Knowledge of base commission, contingent, and supplemental compensation structures.
• Strong data analysis, reporting, negotiation, relationship management, presentation, and claims issue-resolution skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
