Software Engineer – C# Hardware & Systems Application Development (C#)

Location: Zürich, Switzerland (Hybrid)

A young startup emerging from ETH Zurich, developing semiconductor contamination-control technology.

What you will do

• Extend and optimize C# and C++ code for hardware communication and system applications.
• Develop and integrate software that improves the performance and usability of the technology.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated software and hardware testing.
• Investigate and analyze internal and external bug reports.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to align development with project goals.
• Support implementation, code reviews, documentation, project tracking, and the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of .NET/C# for desktop and embedded platforms.
• Experience with hardware communication in C# and embedded development in C++.
• Experience with software testing methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English communication is required; German proficiency is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Desktop UI development with WPF or Avalonia.
• Software development experience in regulated environments such as semiconductor, medical, or automotive.
• Git, CMake, Linux/Yocto, and DevOps principles and tools.
