Senior Instructor (Defence Training)

Location: Randwick, NSW, Australia; 5 days onsite required

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate instructors, training specialists, and training resources to achieve successful training outcomes.
• Manage training delivery, schedules, student progression, and operational training requirements.
• Act as a key customer interface and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Mentor instructors and provide subject matter expertise within the relevant area.
• Improve courseware, training materials, and training devices.
• Deliver instruction and maintain training standards during periods of increased operational demand.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Defence, military, aviation, training, simulation, or a related operational environment.
• Experience leading teams, coordinating resources, and managing training delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management skills.
• Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance are required.
• Experience in the Royal Australian Navy or broader Defence environment is preferred.
• Technical, electrical, electronic, marine, communications, or engineering experience is preferred.

• Experience with Defence training systems and learning frameworks.
• Familiarity with simulation-based training environments.
• Previous experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
