Director of Technology (Cyber, Cloud, and AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid from the Columbia, Maryland headquarters, with a minimum of 3 days on-site weekly; travel up to 25% CONUS and OCONUS.

Salary: $186,550–$300,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide visionary technical and operational leadership across sector-wide, multi-program operations.
• Serve as a senior technical executive and primary contact for DoD and Intelligence Community stakeholders.
• Own growth strategy and P&L performance, driving customer acquisition, contract expansion, and long-term capability alignment.
• Lead capture and proposal frameworks, including technical solutioning, win themes, teaming partnerships, and differentiators.
• Define enterprise technology strategies across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and Zero Trust, AI/ML, and data platform engineering.
• Oversee product and innovation portfolios and align R&D investments with federal priorities.

Requirements

• Active full-scope polygraph-level U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering and technology leadership experience with a bachelor’s degree, 13+ years with a master’s degree, or 19+ years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 10+ years in an executive management role such as CTO, VP, or Director, with demonstrated P&L ownership.
• Experience leading and winning major DoD or Intelligence Community program captures and proposals.
• Experience building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing software and systems engineering organizations.
• Expertise in enterprise technology vision and architecture, cybersecurity, cloud and data platform engineering, AI/ML, and applied automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data platforms or data lake architectures.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications.
• Experience leading product development strategy for next-generation defense capabilities.
• Experience with non-traditional and commercial firm-fixed-price contracting.
