TL;DR
Product Champion (Cybersecurity): Supporting cyber operational teams through threat hunting, data analysis, customer requirements gathering, and training with an accent on defensive cyber operations, statistical modeling, and customer-facing visualizations. Focus on analyzing diverse cyber data streams, developing threat detection capabilities, and translating operational findings into actionable platform features.

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland, United States; on-site at the customer location 5 days and 40 hours per week. Travel of up to 40% within and outside the continental United States is required.

Salary: $144,501–$190,000 per year

What you will do

  • Champion the Threat Awareness Sharing Capability suite and support cyber operational teams using intelligence and coordination applications.
  • Conduct threat hunting operations, maintain awareness of emerging cyber threats, and assist customers with cyber defense activities.
  • Analyze data feeds, perform quality assurance, support analytic queries, and create dashboards and customer-facing visualizations.
  • Apply statistical modeling to identify hidden patterns and synthesize diverse data streams into actionable data products.
  • Collect customer requirements, define use cases, advise on data enrichment, and provide platform demonstrations and end-user training.
  • Document data feeds and deliverables while providing real-time customer support during normal working hours.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
  • At least 9 years of relevant cybersecurity operations experience with a bachelor's degree, 7 years with a master's degree, or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting Department of War customers, preferably U.S. Cyber Command, DISA, DCDC, or service cyber components.
  • Proficiency with SQL, KQL, Python, dashboarding and visualization tools such as Power BI or Superset, and cloud environments including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with cyber hunting, SIEM and SOAR platforms, threat detection signatures, network traffic analysis, vulnerability analysis, MITRE ATT&CK, and incident response.
  • Ability to present analysis, write clearly, work independently and collaboratively, support in-person or virtual training, and work on site in Fort Meade.

Nice to have

  • Data+, Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GNFA, GCFA, or another recognized cybersecurity certification.
  • Department of War SOC experience.
  • Experience with big data platforms or data lake architectures.
  • Jupyter Notebook experience.
