Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Ukraine or Europe

What you will do

• Build the new ML/AI direction and establish its engineering standards from the ground up.
• Design and develop core ML models and production pipelines for more than 20 million orders and 100 million transactions per month.
• Build a real-time system that selects the acquiring bank for each transaction.
• Develop recommendation engines and other ML-driven features to improve merchant conversion and revenue.
• Run experiments from initial ideas through A/B testing and production deployment.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Platform teams to solve modelling problems and build training and analytics pipelines.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of experience in machine learning.
• Hands-on production experience shipping ML models end to end in a real product environment.
• Strong data science fundamentals.
• Experience designing and running experiments, including A/B testing.
• Experience with feature engineering on high-cardinality transactional data.
• Proactive communication and collaboration with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience integrating cutting-edge AI technologies.
