Site Reliability Engineer- Team Lead

Location: New York City, NY; hybrid with weekly office attendance. Occasional travel, early or late shifts, bank holidays, and infrequent weekend testing may be required to support EMEA, USA, and APAC operations.

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead and manage a distributed APAC SRE team while contributing as a player-manager.
• Support customers with Redline products, troubleshoot issues, provide workarounds, and verify patches and releases.
• Manage production environments through software upgrades, routine changes, proactive monitoring, and application performance tuning.
• Assess exchange-driven initiatives and participate in relevant testing, including occasional weekend tests.
• Collaborate with development, server, and network teams to resolve customer requests and production issues.
• Improve the managed service through automation, scripting, monitoring tools, inventory, and runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or management information systems.
• Previous operational experience in a team leadership role.
• Experience with financial services front-office systems, market data tickerplants, order execution technology, and global exchange technology.
• Strong Linux administration and performance-tuning skills.
• Experience with Intel-based computer architecture and IT systems networking.
• Strong customer service, communication, collaboration, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Programming and scripting experience, particularly with Python, C/C++, or Java.
