Business and Systems Analyst (Federal IT)

Location: Hybrid in Alexandria, VA, with 2–3 days per week onsite at the Mark Center and 2–3 days remote.

Salary: $119,200–$172,900 USD per year.

What you will do

• Gather, prioritize, and evaluate as-is and to-be business, functional, and non-functional requirements for Federal IT budget portfolios and systems.
• Perform capability and requirements gap analyses and identify opportunities to improve user journeys, interfaces, and systems.
• Develop data-driven solution recommendations, including level-of-effort assessments and implementation strategies.
• Integrate systems, data, and process modeling to document interfaces, integrations, and logical systems architecture.
• Build analytical dashboards and data visualization products to track program performance, identify trends, and provide actionable leadership insights.
• Apply expertise to Federal IT budget processes and data requirements while collaborating with improvement teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or physics; a high school diploma plus four additional years of technical experience may substitute.
• 10+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field, including process improvement.
• Experience documenting business capability requirements and as-is/to-be systems.
• Experience developing reporting tools, designing interfaces, and working with data storage.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder communication, solution implementation, change management, and work-planning skills.

• Experience with Defense Business Systems modernization requirements.
