Customer Success Engineer (Networking)

Location: Onsite at customer locations in New York City, Jersey City, NJ, or Charlotte, NC; Charlotte may be hybrid.

Salary: $165,000–$190,000 per year in base salary plus bonus, with potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Provide post-sales technical leadership and subject-matter expertise to enterprise customers.
• Advise customers on successful ongoing usage and adoption of the Forward Platform.
• Own post-sales technical issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams on resolution.
• Document troubleshooting procedures and problem-resolution steps.
• Guide customers through the different stages of platform adoption.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing; travel approximately 10%.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent educational experience.
• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in post-sales engineering for a networking company or software vendor, or as a network engineer in a large enterprise, service provider, or government agency.
• Willingness to work onsite at a customer location in Charlotte, Jersey City, or New York City.
• Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience working with multiple network vendors, such as Cisco, Arista, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, or A10.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, needs-analysis, business-justification, and customer-retention skills.

Nice to have

• CCIE, JNCIE, or VCDX certification.
• Startup experience.
• Working knowledge of API-driven workflows and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, jq, or GraphQL.
• Preference for being onsite at the customer location in New York.
