RF Systems Engineer

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance are required.

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and support RF system definition and analysis for space and ground communications architectures.
• Develop and manage RF system-level requirements and VCRM.
• Perform RF system analysis using STK, MATLAB, and Python.
• Build and maintain RF budgets and gain lineups for space and ground systems.
• Define and execute RF verification and validation plans.
• Collaborate with payload, ground, network, systems, RF design, and integration teams on architectures and trade studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of RF or systems engineering experience, including at least 2 years of direct RF systems experience.
• Background in RF systems for space and/or ground applications.
• Experience with RF budgets, link analysis, requirements decomposition, and system verification.
• Ability to communicate RF impacts at the system level.
• US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a United States Secret Clearance.

Nice to have

• Active Secret clearance.
• Experience with communications RF payloads and ground phased arrays.
• Familiarity with MBSE and requirements tools.
• Knowledge of Digital Beam Forming and high-speed data converters, including ADCs and DACs.
