Strategic Advisory Services Consultant (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote, TX; client travel up to 30% may be required, often on less than three weeks’ notice.

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.

What you will do

• Contribute to large and complex strategic cybersecurity advisory engagements for management-level clients across industries.
• Assess and develop cybersecurity and incident response programs to improve organizational security maturity before incidents occur.
• Design scenarios that help customers exercise and strengthen their incident response capabilities.
• Prepare high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings for customer management.
• Identify emerging cybersecurity trends using government and private-sector perspectives.
• Contribute to thought leadership, methodologies, and internal programs.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in security or IT management consulting, security program development, security operations, business strategy and risk analysis, cybersecurity policy, or public/government affairs.
• Experience working with cybersecurity programs, incident response, SOC or CSIRT functions, risk frameworks, security policies, plans, or playbooks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical, non-technical, executive, and customer stakeholders.
• Ability to complete complex strategic analysis and development tasks independently while managing multiple projects.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• A relevant degree, military experience, work experience, or training may be considered; advanced degrees are not required.
