Mental Health Practitioner - Children and Young People (Digital Mental Health)

Location: Remote, must be based in the United Kingdom. Working hours are within 12:00–22:00 on weekdays and 17:00–22:00 on weekends, with rota-based weekend work.

Salary: up to £27,972 per year, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Provide text-based emotional wellbeing and mental health support and structured interventions to children and young people.
• Assess service users’ needs and risks, complete formulations, and provide short- and mid-term interventions.
• Support service users with complex mental health difficulties and risk-related needs.
• Signpost users and complete referrals appropriately, liaising with internal and external professionals on safeguarding concerns.
• Maintain accurate case notes, clinical records, shift information, and activity data in approved systems.
• Participate in clinical supervision, management supervision, training, and team meetings.

Requirements

• Degree in social care, mental health nursing, counselling, social work, psychology, or a relevant equivalent professional qualification; significant relevant experience and professional training may also be considered.
• Working knowledge of adult safeguarding and child protection policies and legislation.
• Ability to assess and manage mental health risks and provide appropriate support and interventions.
• Availability for rota-based shifts within the service opening hours, including weekend work.
• Commitment to mandatory training and continuing professional development.
• Enhanced DBS screening is required before appointment.
