Project Manager, Project Orion, GISI Consulting Group (IT Transformation)

Location: Hybrid position based in Arlington, VA, United States; candidates must have current US work authorization, live within commuting distance, and attend the office when required.

Salary: $90,000–$98,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Maintain and monitor the consolidated Project Orion workplan, including milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery gates.
• Coordinate activities across active workstreams, project leadership, stakeholders, and implementation teams.
• Facilitate meetings, planning sessions, workshops, execution reviews, governance meetings, and executive reviews.
• Maintain decision logs, action logs, approval records, and the project risk register.
• Track resource utilization, budget compliance, readiness gaps, mitigation actions, and operational continuity risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly status reports covering milestone progress, resourcing, risks, decisions, and budget impacts.

Requirements

• Significant PMO experience managing projects, preferably in the IT sector.
• Experience applying formal project management methods and tools, such as PMBOK or PRINCE2.
• Experience supporting formal project governance processes, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives across different operating companies and translate technical risks into business impact.
• Current US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
