Actuarial Product Development Assistant Manager (Insurance)

Salary: 166,600–291,500 PLN annual

What you will do

• Develop actuarial code for the libraries supplied with the Prophet Insurance Risk Suite.
• Expand modelling capabilities to cover emerging risks, including climate-related risks.
• Review peers’ actuarial code for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Ensure product deliverables are suitable, well documented, and aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate with other actuarial teams to deliver holistic solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or another science-based subject.
• At least 5 years of experience in a life insurance department or consultancy.
• At least 5 years of experience using the Prophet system.
• Experience implementing modelling changes in Prophet using extended formula functionality, such as changes to the ALS library.
• Background in insurance or financial services, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong verbal and written English skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced Prophet techniques, including new business processing, calculation looping, rebasing, goal seeking, nested structures, modules, and dynamic or stochastic modelling.
• Awareness of model performance bottlenecks and their solutions.
• Programming, systems development, cloud infrastructure, or technology knowledge.
• Awareness of emerging regulatory and financial risk topics, including climate-related risks.
