What you will do

  • Evaluate technical requirements, qualified sources, and materials for new and existing products.
  • Work with New Product Development teams and suppliers to clarify engineering drawing requirements and support design for manufacturability.
  • Participate in supplier selection and build a supply base optimized for quality, cost, delivery, and technology.
  • Lead supplier technical audits, evaluate performance and capabilities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead quality problem resolution and incident management, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor cost drivers and supply markets to support competitive cost planning.

Requirements

  • Depth or breadth of expertise in a specialized engineering or supplier-related discipline.
  • Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend practices that improve products, processes, or services.
  • Experience leading others through complex problem-solving and applying analytical judgment.
  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
