Forward Deployed Software Engineer - Autonomous Systems C2

Location: Seattle, WA, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, excluding potential bonuses, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Build, test, integrate, and deploy mission-critical full-stack C2 software for multimodal autonomous systems.
• Integrate autonomy C2 solutions with hirify.global’s platform, sensor and data fusion services, agentic decision-making engines, and robotic control systems.
• Deploy and maintain systems across cloud, on-premises, edge, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Address integration, security, networking, authentication, automation, and user experience challenges.
• Collaborate with specialists in sensing, artificial intelligence, systems engineering, user experience, hardware, and robotics.
• Support operational and tactical missions involving autonomous systems.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience integrating and deploying software to edge or autonomous systems such as drones, self-driving systems, or edge servers.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, or Java.
• Experience with React and frontend frameworks, software deployment, CI, automation tools, APIs, networking, security, authentication, and Linux/GNU.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or significant relevant experience.
• Active US security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US security clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience developing user interfaces for graphical, textual, or verbal AI and large generative models.
• Knowledge of streaming or real-time data, CI, software deployment, design, and frontend development.
• Experience deploying and maintaining robust production systems.
