Senior Director (Data/AI Governance)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; at least 3 days in the office required

Salary: $229,000–$400,900 USD per year, potentially including bonus, equity, and sales incentives.

What you will do

• Define, architect, and execute hirify.global’s global Data/AI management and governance platform strategy.
• Develop strategies for data quality, metadata, context layers, access rights, and consent management.
• Lead teams of product managers, data analysts, and process managers delivering the target architecture for merchant data.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional product, marketing, data science, data engineering, and technology stakeholders.
• Promote technical approaches including agentic solutions, data quality measurement, and product-led prioritization.
• Drive innovation, data integrity, and efficient data utilization across the enterprise.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• Strong understanding of data strategy, data governance, data management, data engineering, and data architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience leading data management functions and related processes.
• At least 5 years of experience managing large, global, distributed teams and delivering business outcomes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and team development skills.
• Experience with technology and business teams on Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives; familiarity with cloud technologies and tools such as Apache Spark, Postman, Artifactory, Python, Scikit Learn, Pandas, and GitHub.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, lending, financial services, or consulting.
• Advanced degree in computer science, statistics, finance, economics, or a related analytical field.
• Broad knowledge of common data management and data engineering methodologies.
