Billing Services Director (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States; approximately 10% travel for client engagements and leadership alignment

Salary: $118,960–$178,440 annually

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day billing operations, including charge capture, claim submission, edits, work queues, and billing accuracy.
• Improve clean claim rates, reduce rework and denials, and accelerate reimbursement timelines.
• Partner with coding, accounts receivable, denials, client delivery, technology, and operations teams.
• Monitor billing KPIs, identify root causes of errors and payer denials, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, payer guidelines, and internal policies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing billing teams while serving as an escalation point for complex issues and client concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or related operations.
• Strong knowledge of professional and/or hospital billing workflows and payer requirements.
• Experience leading multi-site or multi-client billing operations and improving performance metrics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
